Lanny Thomas has more than 20 years of management and sales experience. He is a former Executive Vice President and Sales Manager with Bank Earnings International (BEI). While working with BEI, Lanny led a sales team that sold over 300 houses at a three-day auction in Dallas, Texas, for Realty Alliance of Texas. He has served as National President of the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) and taught the CAI ethics course at Indiana University.
As Executive Director of the Dallas Life Foundation, one of America's largest shelters for poor and homeless people, Lanny developed and organized the "Quality Life Program." Using the motivational and business development material of the Zig Ziglar Corporation as the core curriculum, he brought together a team of training associates and businesses that helped over 100 poor and homeless people per year find permanent jobs. The success of the program was brought to national attention by the Center for Public Policy on National Public Radio. The programs of the Dallas Life Foundation are often identified as an example of how private sector programs are more effective than government funded programs at helping people to overcome life's adversities and gain hope for the future. |
